With just 7 percent of saturated fat in it, canola oil is considered to be among the oils that have the lowest amount of saturated fat in them. They include hazelnut which has 82% monounsaturated and just 7% saturated fat and also has a high smoke point. Other than that there is sunflower seed oil which has 79% monounsaturated and 14% saturated fat. Almond oil is also one option for healthy cooking as it contains 65% monounsaturated and 7% saturated fat. With a high smoke point in both almond oil and sunflower seed oil, you can perform cooking of all types with them. Macadamia oil and the oil from walnuts, pumpkin seeds, sesame and also peanuts contain the same good properties and can be used for dieting.
While the choice of oil is entirely up to you and you should also keep in mind whatever your doctor says but what you need to remember is one very obvious fact. At the end of the day these are all oils and have a lot of fats in them so you should try and eat fewer calories overall and exercise to truly make it effective.
