One should always eat less and with civilized portions but there is really no need to starve yourself.

    Most people think that carbohydrates are the next big thing. They are pretty wrong about that! Fats are the next big thing. They are an important form of energy storage and are sometimes healthier than carbohydrates, especially for those who want to lose weight. Fats can be burned while the mechanism behind carbohydrates can sometimes frustrate you pretty much. Nonetheless, be careful. There are good fats and there are bad fats. You need to have all HDL’s so that you do not get coronary heart disease! That’s right, you have to be pretty careful. With fats, you can also cross the line. It is beneficial to have a little of it and you get it easily from the foods you eat since almost everything is cooked in oil! But make sure you have the best oil. Olive oil is pretty high up on the list and so is sunflower oil. Corn oil is just okay and is now mostly being avoided at homes but that is entirely another issue. Just be sure that you have this in your diet. Don’t restrict yourself from it unless you are trying to lose a lot of weight.
  • Carbohydrates
    Now with carbohydrates, you don’t really have to worry. They are present in almost every food and you can get them easily. There is no need to tell you to eat them or how much because you’ll be getting your daily share from almost all the foods you eat. It is a pretty important nutrient, especially one that gives you instant energy.
  • Vitamins and Minerals
    Most people forget this component or give it a pretty insignificant treatment. This shouldn’t be the case. Without vitamins and minerals our body would probably face a lot of problems and there is no compensatory mechanism for it either since our body has no vast storage of these things. Vitamins and minerals are found in many foods but you need to have your recommended daily value. Supplements are also an option if you think that you cannot have them all in your food.

All of these nutrients are very important, and that makes a healthy diet. You will find all of this in meat, fruits and vegetables. And don’t forget milk! Cannot do without calcium in your diet now, can you? It won’t be healthy and women really require it!
