Introduction And Background
No one really needs an introduction to the HCG diet. If you are looking to lose weight, you must have definitely heard the name somewhere and would know something about it. All of my friends who do not have an ounce of fat on their body are well aware of it so that means most of the people are as well! A little background will do no harm though. The HCG diet is actually a diet which works on the hormone Human Chorionic Gonadotropin which is given to the dieter in a diluted form. This diet is good and has many benefits, some of which are listed below.
The Benefits Of The HCG Diet
The HCG diet has several benefits. Firstly, this diet has no side effects. It must be hard to believe because the substance we are taking is not exactly natural but it is! If you are confused, recall the name of the hormone on which the diet is based. It is present in the body naturally. The only thing we are doing is elevating the levels of it in our body. The dieters who have been on the HCG diet have also sided with the claim of this diet having no side effects. The second benefit of the diet is that it enables you to lose weight extremely fast. There have been reports of weight loss up to three to five kilograms in a week’s time! With these results, there will be no sign of obesity in the coming ages if everyone who needs it turns to the HCG diet. The HCG diet also does not tell you to follow an exercise regime or workout a lot. In fact, it does not tell you to do either.
How Does The HCG Diet Work?
The HCG diet works on the HCG drops that are given to you and the time table for food you have to follow. The diet’s time is divided into four phases. These four phases are important and must be followed if one wants to get perfect results.
All About Phase 2 Of The HCG Diet Plan
This phase is considered by some as the most important phase of the HCG diet. It is an important phase as well as the hardest one. Oh well, good things never come easy. And with the HCG diet and its fast weight loss, you’ll get the fruit of your efforts sooner than ever!
The phase 2 of HCG diet starts as soon as Phase 1 ends, that is from the third day onwards. The time duration varies according the dosage of HCG diet you take but one thing if for certain. Phase 2 should not be less than 23 doses of the HCG diet and not more than forty doses.
What To Eat?
Like I said before, this is the hardest phase of the HCG diet. Why is it hard? It is hard because the daily calorie intake should not cross five to six hundred calories. These are the only calories you are supposed to get for the day, including all the meals. You should take mostly protein in this phase and ensure that you are having fish as well amongst the many meats that you are allowed to have. A helping of fruits are also allowed but you have to have some of them only. For instance, apples and oranges are allowed as well as strawberries and blueberries. Other than that, there are very few fruits that make the list of the HCG approved diet recipes and foods. You are also allowed to have salads during this phase, mostly made from green leafy vegetables. Vegetables, fruits and proteins are the important foods of this phase. They are not to be ignored and are not be left alone. Make sure all three of them are in your daily diet in specific amounts to ensure you do not cross the calorie limit that is set.
What To Drink?
You will have to drink large amounts of water. It is a must in the HCG diet. Other than that, you can have coffee and tea but without the sugar. Sugar is fattening. Cold drinks are off for you and so are sodas. If you drink them, you might as well say goodbye to the weight loss process.
What To Do?
In this phase, HCG diet does not tell you to exercise. In fact, the HCG diet does not recommend that you exercise in any phase of the entire course. It may perhaps be the only diet that does that!
Phase 2 of the HCG diet is admittedly hard. You have to starve yourself and you have to follow a certain diet plan. However, with the fast weight loss that you’ll be experiencing, this is not much in exchange for a few days of hardships and hunger pangs.
