  • Remind yourself why you started to diet in the first place. Obesity does not make any person look good. Keep an ideal weight person in mind to keep yourself motivated and tell yourself: “I want a body like that.” It might seem silly to you but it has worked a number of times.   • If you are obese at a higher range, the best way to stay motivated on a diet is to tell yourself that you are wasting your life away. Obesity brings a lot of diseases with it and you are basically a walking time bomb to all of them. If you love life, you will remain motivated on the diet.
  • Keep telling yourself that it is only for a short period of time compared to a lifetime of happiness. If you are miserable for only a little while, say even two months, what is it that compared to years of being thin and smart and being able to eat what you want without feeling depressed and anxious.
  • Ask your friends to help. This also plays a huge impact on the way you diet. If those around you are encouraging and motivating you constantly, you’ll be able to get going. Some considerate people also refuse to have scrumptious food in the surroundings of people who are dieting. This also helps in controlling those urges and gets one to stay motivated on the diet instead of going astray at the sight of a delicious meal.
  • Do not start to count the days left or the days gone. Take it a day at a time. This is the best way to go about dieting. Otherwise, you’ll just be miserable thinking about the weeks or the days ahead of you.
