It does not use anything else for energy. If the brain is not getting that glucose, people often experience headaches and a sense of lethargy that does not go away. You also feel less energetic because your body is working overtime to digest all that protein but is not getting sufficient carbs and fats to function normally and well.

    Very few people might know about this but those who eat proteins all the time have a condition of bad breath. It will become a nuisance to use mouth washes or brush your teeth after everything you eat. It is not good for the teeth either in the end, all that brushing. And it can become a social nuisance for you if your bad breath becomes the usual thing because your diet consists of all proteins.

    A diet which has absolutely no fiber or no carbs can become very painful for you because it can lead to constipation. Fiber is necessary to pass stool easily and it also makes peristalsis easy for you. The limited fiber intake can easily make your time in the bathroom very intolerable.

  • Dehydration
    If you decide to go on an all-protein diet, remember that you water intake has to be very high otherwise your body can easily become dehydrated. For the digestion and usage of proteins, water is required and if that is used up in large amounts because protein is all you eat then you can easily get in trouble. Dehydration is not good for any organ in the body and before you know it, your body is suffering from it on the inside and sheer neglect can put you through a lot of pain.
